My first book reading I had no idea what to expect and neither did my audience. I am so glad to have met so many new people and even more glad that some of them felt empowered to share their stories with me. At my next book reading I hope to prepare the audience with more advance notice on what to expect. This book is full of adult content and topics that have been taboo in the black community and for the female community, some of these topics continue to be swept under the rug. I really hope to see new and returning faces at my second book reading and will be excited to sell copies of my book at the Oct 5th Seattle Urban Book Expo.
